SimpleSlide Pro | "Domino"

The SimpleSlide Pro is the result of a long process of testing and refining — my attempt at the slider I'd want in my own pocket, focusing on durability, ergonomics and haptics without compromise.

The final design is built like a sandwich.

The plates have 8 Teflon-Skates on one side and smooth surfaces combining into an exceptional sliding experience. The first layer print path resembles a machined surface.
I've opted against hollow full-insert internals because that approach negatively impacted haptic feel during testing. Instead, the function of magnet holes is split between the plates and inserts. The top part of the inserts also reaches to the exterior, aligning with the outer shape and granting a seamless transition between the parts. Simple symbols mark them to distinguish between silent and crunchy.
The top integrates two high quality SS M3 Screws that serve to hold the slider together and also provide points of grip and metal texture for the thumb.

The SimpleSlide Pro comes with silent and crunchy inserts.
PVC dot stickers on the N52 magnets distinguish them from the N45, and can be flipped to slightly weaken magnets and add a bouncier click - giving you more tuning options.

Printed slowly at the lowest layer height with 100% infill, each of these takes ~4h to print and additional time for post-processing and assembly.

Style Comparison

o - Midnight

Translucent plates with a circular pattern shining through give it an elegant glassy look and clean haptics. Timeless black look. The range of magnet strength is on the weaker side, ideal for long fidgeting sessions.

x - Domino

Milk white with black accents with the skates acting as domino dots. Plate and Body are fully Iglidur (a high performance, teflon-like tribofilament) granting a more buttery slide that feels like teflon on teflon. The range of magnet strength is slightly stronger through closer magnet distance, granting more pronounced clicks, but easily modded.

DISCLAIMER: Due to black teflon sliding on white Iglidur for the Domino, there will be visible platewear. It can be mitigated by rubbing with Isopropanol but will still be visible.
